What is ACES?
The Association of Chemical Engineering Students (ACES) is a student-operated club at Curtin University and our mission is to enhance, represent and assist Chemical Engineering students with their university experience and future career path. The club offers mentoring and valuable insight into the chemical engineering discipline for current and future students.
What do we do?
We provide social, educational, and developmental opportunities to enrich the university experience for our members. Our events allow members to seek career advice and develop professional skills that we believe are vital for their success as chemical engineering professionals. The Association of Chemical Engineering Students also offers a support network and representation for chemical engineering students from their first day till well into their professional lives.
Examples of previous events include:
- Site visits to various mines and refinery facilites
- Technical talks from working professionals who provide insite into various topics related to Chemical Engineering
- Workshops to enhance skills in common software used in industry
- Talks from previous Curtin Graduates about their experiences in industry
