ACES is hosting a site visit to Alcoa's Pinjarra Refinery and Huntly Bauxite Mine. Places are limited to 20 students on a first come first serve basis, so register quickly. Date: Wednesday, 4th September (during tuition free week) Time: 8:30am 3pm Cost: Free Meet at the flag pole area near Building 200A before 8:45am The bus will depart at 8:45am SHARP. The site visit is from 10am-2pm and students are expected to arrive back on campus at 3:15pm. It is a great opportunity to gain knowledge about the process industry. You can also gain 4 logbook hours by attending, weighted to 12 PRES hours.

Chemical engineering is an incredibly broad field of engineering where profressionals can work in a wide range of industries. Industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Pharmaceuticals, Food, and many more. This session's aim is to give students new to the field some general information as to the course they intend to or have enrolled in and their potential careers.

The purpose of the AGM is to: Democratically elect 2023 office bearers in-line with our last Guild-approved constitution with nominations for office bearer roles open to all Ordinary members, Provide a report on the year to the club’s members . This shall be prepared by the outgoing office bearers and reported within this meeting for: members in the meeting or, within the minutes which will be accessible to all members post-meeting. This talk is tailored for Chemical Engineering Students about what to submit when completing their engineering logbook. Gordan Ingram is presenting about the logbook categories, making the most of the experience, and the report and evidence requirements including common problems.

This event is tailored to pentultimate year, Chemical Engineering undergraduate students. It is designed to cover all questions relating to the 2 cap-stone units of the Honours course and is highly recommended that all students starting these units next year attend.

To educate 1st and 2nd year engineering students about what chemical engineering entails by developing a picture of how your understanding of chemical engineering changes over time. While introducing young engineering students to the opportunities that chemical engineering can provide them. Finalizing with a brief overview of the course guided by Dr Gordon Ingram a Senior Lecturer of Chemical Engineering that can prepare them for the challenges and rewards of the course.

Come on down to the ACES quiz night to relax after a long week of uni. Bring your friends and play as a solo or as a a pair, alternatively you can get assigned a table on the night. Questions will be from a wide range of catagories (as well as a few engineering ones here and there of course!) so come and test your trivia skills and maybe win a prize!
